I Have A Yearning

After I got home from the hospital and was on my own I realized that I wasn't as smart as I thought I was. Actually, I'm pretty stupid. Having a newborn makes that fact blatantly clear.

This photo is a stack of books that I was pouring over trying to gleam some spark of knowledge because by this time I was yearning for something that might help give me a clue. The clue I got was that I can't learn it from a book. Only through experience.

Boring!

Day 53; Project 365

I call this photo Boring because, well, that's kind of what it is. But it was the best shot of the day. I spent day 53 kicked back on the sofa, knitting and reading. So there you have it. That's about it. Plus this is the only shot taken that day that came out anywhere near half way decent.

Project 365 - Day 28

My day 28 photo isn't much. It's my nightstand table. I was feeling a bit exhausted and just not well a for a few days, and almost as soon as I got home I was ready for bed. I did hold out for a little while. But not long.

On this day, I knew I hadn't taken a photo and decided that this one photo would pretty much sum up my day nicely.

As you can see, there are two books (both pregnancy books), a glass of water, my Mylanta bottle (praise to those who invented the wonder elixir), a napkin (where a snack probably had once been lying), my alarm, the bottom half of my lamp and my cellphone charger is that USB looking device beside the water.

Sums things pretty nicely right?

And yes, I did go to bed right after taking this shot.

This photo did have some post processing done to it. It was converted to Black and White, as well as shadow and noise reduction.

Project 365 - Day 15

There were a few pictures that turned out pretty good for day 15's shot. But there was just something about this one that really grabbed me. You can always find books around our house. This is one I gave my husband after we found out I was pregnant. It's an expecting father book that follows along each month and gives the expecting father a male's view of what is happening.

Well, on this day it was sitting on top of the piano and grabbed my attention. So I just snapped a few shots of it and decided after seeing this one that it should be today's photo.

The book is titled The Expectant Father, and my dh has given it very high marks for those interested.
